Emerald City Pet Rescue

Established in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue (ECPR) in Seattle is a 501c3 certified non-profit dedicated to rescuing, nurturing, and rehabilitating homeless and neglected animals as well as animals in need due to relinquishment. Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, transport and care for these animals.

EPCR operates a no-kill facility where rescued pets can be safely sheltered without the threat of being euthanized until they find the right adoptive family for each pet.

Interested in helping your local shelter?

A great way to help your local animal shelter is by making donations and/or adopting a homeless pet. But if you’re unable to donate or adopt, you can still contribute and make an impact! Shelters are in constant need of supplies, new or gently used. If you aren’t sure what supplies your shelter needs, you can call and ask. Below is a list of common items shelters often use:

2. Food and Water bowls

3. Leashes and collars

4. Pet food

5. Treats

6. Grooming supplies

7. Towels and blankets

8. Pet beds

9. Toys

11. Cleaning supplies

12. Crates and carriers

13. Hand wash and hand sanitizer

14. Paper towels

15. Heating pads

16. Cat scratchers

17. Paper towel and toilet paper rolls

18. Zip-lock bags and garbage bags

19. Flea and tick preventative in original packaging (call ahead on this one)

20. Office supplies
